“Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated.
When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: “Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. There’s not internet connection issue; I’m connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didn’t encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.
Hi everybody,
As many of you have noticed, we implemented a fix in our updated version 362.7
Feel free to reach out if you're still having issues.
Thank you!
Sam

Agree this isn't just an Apple issue. I get the same error message on Vivaldi. I think I mentioned that if I'm able to save to Adobe, from there I can Share to Dropbox without any error message. Also, I was at a conference today where the conference papers were saved in Box. I can access Box.com, but when I try to share, I get the same error message. I'm trying to figure out a workaround because I'm not offered a Save to File option for . I installed DuckDuckGo and agree the error message doesn't appear. But the Share option available for DDG gives me only the website link shared to Dropbox, and that's pretty useless; I want to save the content to Dropbox.
Last, I just updated iOS on my iphone today. The error persists.

I’m not certain this is just a Safari issue. It’s also an issue when trying to share to Dropbox in the Yahoo Mail and other apps on iOS devices.
This used to work perfectly for me. But since Tuesday’s iOS update, if I am in the Yahoo Mail app on my iPad and click Reader Review on an email or article I’m looking at in the Yahoo Mail app, I CANNOT share it to Dropbox. And I used to be able to.
I’m not understanding why Dropbox can’t or won’t reach out to Apple, let them know the complaints you all have been receiving from us, and work with Apple to try to isolate whether the issue is on their end or yours. Also, Dropbox has not updated its app this week. Dropbox last updated it’s app last week. But this week, Apple updated to iOS 17.3 and iPad OS 17.3. Perhaps some things need updating on Dropbox’s end due to the iOS and iPad OS updates?

I’m not sure how you are finding Duck Duck Go as a workaround. Duck Duck Go does not have the capability to do Reader Review. Safari is the only web browser on iOS devices that will allow you to click “Reader View” on a website.
For me, I use Reader Review to PDF an article, and then share that article to my Dropbox account. That cannot be done in Duck Duck Go on iOS.
