What you mention sounds correct indeed; if you make a file available offline, edit it and then, you want to make it online-only again, you’ll need to change its status manually (with the steps that are mentioned here).

thanks for confirming that --- so there is no "automatic" way have the file resided only in the cloud?

so if there is no automatic way to do this the pcloud/gdrive model is a better schema
