Dropbox upload contextual menu on Android
Hi everyone,
I'm on a oneplus 10 pro.
Os and Dropbox app are up to date.
Problem : when I want to upload a file from another app (gallery, audio recorder, ...), I have a new contextual menu, where I cannot choose precisely the folder where I want to upload.
It did change like one / two weeks ago. Previously I had the right menu. Now I can only upload to the root folder and the search field do not allow me to choose another one.
A colleague of mine has the same.problem on another OnePlus Android phone, the other on iOS have no problem.
Thank you for your time

Hey there Tharanei - thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify the version of the Dropbox mobile app, and the OS version of your device for us?
If you can also send us a screenshot so that we can have a visual too, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

Os : Android 14, security update 5 may
Dropbox : 384.2.2.
I do not find any way to upload a picture here, where can I send the screenshot? - Walter2 years ago

There should be a camera icon within your reply box Tharanei
If you're on a mobile device at the moment, you might need to request the desktop version of the page to bring up the button.

I cannot navigate and choose any folder. The import does work if I choose the root folder that appears here

Hey Tharanei, so if I understand correctly, you can see the folders, but it doesn't allow you to tap on them?
Have you tried clearing the Dropbox cache, to see if that helps?
- Tharanei2 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I already tried to clear the cache. And yes, I can see them and select the folders showed in the first picture, but I cannot open them and navigate to a specific subfolder. Also, this menu is not the one I was used to. It switched like 2weeks ago. Previously the interface was like the actual Dropbox app navigation interface.
Like this screenshot.

Hi Tharanei, did you recently join a Dropbox Business team? Those icons there show a team folder and a personal folder.
- Tharanei2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Yes, i'm using a team account from the company I work for.
It.s been years without any issue, and they told me nothing changed on their side. - Walter2 years ago

Thanks for clarifying that for us Tharanei
Would it be OK if we reached out via email to have a further look internally at this point?
