Syncing icons are no longer visible in my Dropbox folder on macOS Sequoia

Hello,

For some time now, the synchronization icons (the grey cloud, the green hook, etc.) are no longer visible on my Finder when I launch drop box. I'm on Mac Sequoia 15.3.1 and my dropbox version is 218.4.4348.

I've tried several things but nothing works. My other users have the same problem. Has anyone managed to solve this problem?

Hey Meganemarin11, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

I see that you also created another post in French, which I moved to the corresponding section on our forum.

We can continue in English or if you feel more comfortable in French, a member of our French team can get back to you on the other thread.

If continuing in English is okay, can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and let me know what you see?

Are only the syncing icons gone or are you also missing the Dropbox right-click options in your Dropbox folder?

    Does syncing work as normal?

    Let me know!

    Hi Hannah,

I'm more comfortable in French, but I'm running out of solutions, so English will do.

The synchronization icons are now only visible in the Finder, so in the drobbox folder. So when I navigate to the Dropbox folder, I can't see the icons (the grey clouds, the green brackets etc.).

    Syncing work as normal.

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of the issue, Meganemarin11?

Also, what about the right-click options in your Dropbox folder?

And what do you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon?

    Hello Hannah,

I've hidden my customers' names because I'm not comfortable sharing online. However, I've included my image bank as an example, and the icons don't appear.

Also, what about the right-click options in your Dropbox folder? See capture

And what do you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon? Everything is normal.

Thanks for the additional info and the screenshots, Meganemarin11.

I'll need you to let me know the exact sync status, as it appears when you hover over your Dropbox icon.

Also, did you notice that this issue appeared after some kind of update either on your computer or on the Dropbox app?

Have you restarted your computer at all?

My drop box statue is up to date.

It's been about 3 weeks, following a Mac update.

I restarted my computer, my Finder, updated dropbox, uninstalled and reinstalled drop box, did another Mac update. Nothing works. Some of my employees also have this problem.

Also, when I browse my Adobe software, I see the icons, but I don't see them in the dropbox folder on my desktop.

    Thanks for this, Meganemarin11.

Could you please try the following steps to see if they help?

    1. Click on the Dropbox icon from your Desktop and quit the application
    2. Open your Activity Monitor from your Mac Utilities folder
    3. Force quit out of the instances of the Dropbox application that are running by searching for "Dropbox" in the search bar, then clicking on the "x" force quit icon on the top left
    4. Re-start Dropbox from the applications folder by double clicking on the Dropbox application
    5. Click on the Apple icon in the top left of your screen
    6. Click on "force quit"
    7. Relaunch the finder

    Then, please follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Apple logo located at the top-left of the screen
    2. Click on "System Preferences" (Or: System Settings > Privacy & Security)
    3. Click on "Extensions"
    4. Click on "Finder Extensions"
    5. Only leave Dropbox Finder Integration ticked
    6. Once this is completed "suggest" to close the window
    7. Click one more time on the Apple logo at the top-left of the screen
    8. Click on "Force Quit"
    9. Look for "Finder" on the list
    10. Click on "Finder" and then "Relaunch"

    Hello Hannah !

I did the first step and it didn't change anything. I wanted to do the second step, but I don't have the “Extensition” option because I'm on Sequoia 15.3.1.
So I still have the same problem.
