Why are my cell phone and laptop not in sync with Dropbox?

I have an Android phone and a Windows 11 laptop.  I made changes to a document in Dropbox from my computer but when I pull up the document on my phone, it does not reflect the changes.  Tried to go to "settings" in Dropbox, but can't find settings!  Googled it but that was no help.

    Is the Dropbox application running on your laptop? If not, it won't be able to sync your files. Make sure you can see the Dropbox icon in the system tray (near the time in the bottom-right corner). If you see the icon, you can hover over it to check its status.

    By the way, I’m Theresa 👩‍💻, one of the Community Managers here at Dropbox HQ. Since you’ve been using Dropbox across your phone and laptop, I’d love to know… what do you use Dropbox for day to day? Whether it’s for work, personal files, or something in between, I’m always curious how people make it part of their routine.

    Aha!  Thank you, Rich!  I didn't have Dropbox on my task bar.  I just put it on my task bar and then checked it on my phone.  Updated document is reflected now.  Thanks for your help!
