I cannot see the Make online-only feature by simply right clicking on the respective folders/files.

To manually change files to online-only in the Dropbox desktop app:

Windows

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Open the Dropbox folder.
  3. Navigate to the file or folder you’d like to set to online-only.
  4. Right-click the file or folder.
  5. Click Make online-only

I also tried "managing hard drive space" and then making the respective folder in available online mode, its also not working.

Please guide.

Hi alokprasad19, let's jump right into this!

Are you on a Dropbox Basic plan, while using a Windows machine? The option to make files available offline or online-only should only be on paid plans for Windows.

Could you confirm what syncing icon you have on your files in the Dropbox folder?

    Let me know more!

Hey Megan, thanks much for the prompt response. I am using dropbox standard, it's one of my colleague's accounts and me another colleague are using the same account for a project. They can see the "make online-only" option while right clicking on respective folder and files and I am not able to see this.

My colleagues can see Green Circle with a Checkmark over files/folder, however I cannot see anything.

Let me know if you need more information.

Hi alokprasad19, thanks for letting me know!

Are you sure the app is running at the moment?

Also what is the sync status and version of the application? You can see that, if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your task bar.

Also, are you able to see any other Dropbox options when you right click on your files/folders?
