How can I redeem the 50% Discount for Dropbox Plus with Adobe Creative Cloud?
I have both an Adobe Creative Cloud and a Dropbox Plus subscription. I recently saw that I could be saving 50% on my Dropbox Plus sub.
It has only recently renewed but as my work situation has changed I need to cut some costs while I seek new work.
I want to keep my subscription but want to take advantage of this offer I'm entitled to.
Could someone let me know if they've been able to do this? When I click Redeem Offer it says I already have a Dropbox Plus plan.
I've been paying for Adobe for 30 years and Dropbox for 15 years.
Many thanks!
Thanks for posting your question to our Community, Measle.
Indeed, this promotion with Adobe does exist, however, it cannot be redeemed if you're already on a Dropbox Plus subscription, just like the error message mentioned.
It works for existing users, just not the ones that have already purchased their plan.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I got email from Dropbox team:
According to my understanding, you are trying to activate the 50% off as a benefit of having an Adobe subscription.
I'm very sorry, but the only Adobe-related discount had expired a couple of weeks ago. It's so funny. Dislike Dropbox for this.

Iāve been trying to get this working now for over 2 weeks. I have lost count how many times Iāve started a chat with sales. I have a basic account. It wonāt work. Made a new account using a different browser. Still wouldnāt work. Contact Dropbox via chat. They couldnāt tell me why it wasnāt working. They told me to got to Adobe. Contacted adobe via DM on X.com. They also confirmed they getting the same error. They didnāt understand why. So advised me to go back to Dropbox and asked that I let them know how Dropbox respond. Dropbox sales chat suggested that it may have expired but they didnāt know. I responded to my Adobe DM messages. This back and forth has continued. Adobe have stopped responding to my DMs. Itās really frustrating that you canāt contact anyone in Dropbox tech support if you have a basic account.
ā¦even if its stopping a customer giving them money. The online chat is only for sales. At the very least you would think that the person on sales chat would be able to forward the call on to a tech support person. Frustrating. So thatās the craic. - AGR32 years agoHelpful | Level 5
Exactly what happened to me. Very disappointing.
- oliversuchomski2 years agoHelpful | Level 5I find it hard to believe the promotion ended mid-October as I originally signed up thinking I had used the discount code successfully on October 6th.
From all the other replies on this thread, it all points to deceptiveness from Dropbox. Weāve been duped and this promotional code never worked.
The worst tactic about all this, is you leave Adobe after following the offer link thinking that the sales page you land on has the 50% discount applied automatically, yet when you check the Dropbox homepage, the pricing is the exact same that anyone could get, regardless of the offer.
My trial ends November 6th, thereās no way Iām committing to a year of this. Staff here havenāt really helped anyone with their matters, and the customer āserviceā just sends people round in circles until they eventually give up. Honestly surprised at this. Thought this would be an elite service for the subscription price. - DBX_Pedro2 years ago

FYI:
This is what was advised less than an hour ago... So Dropbox seems to have two streams:
- There still is a valid discount, but as a Plus user you have to have a very long breath to get what they promise you to give
- There was a discount, but that suddenly expired
For such a huge company, making such a mess of this situation. How hard can it be to solve this? Imho you don't offer something quit valuable for a large user group, and then withdraw when someone wants to make use of the offer.

Hi everyone,

- GlennCartmill2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Yes. That worked. I have managed to upgrade to Dropbox plus with the 50% offer.
Thanks for sorting that. - anikin2 years agoHelpful | Level 5
What's wrong with you guys? I've been trying to activate the discount for a few days, I wrote to support, you replied that it was impossible, here's a screenshot of the support reply:
ā
Now you say that you have changed something and we can use the discount. But I already bought at full price! And now I can't use the discount because āYou're already on Dropbox Plusā! Are you kidding me?
How do I use the discount now?
