I can't access my paid account because the email address is expired; how can I get a refund?
So I have an old email that has expired. I didn't even know that my associated Dropbox account was still active, but it apparently is because I have a charge on my credit card for the $119 renewal fee. That's a lot of money for something I can't even use, much less want at this time!
Pulling out my hair because I have no way to sign in and no way to get a refund. It is ridiculous that there is no way to talk to an actual person to resolve these issues! I looked at the support page for billing and there was nothing that I could find regarding this particular issue. Very frustrated and would appreciate some help!

Hey BlaineRussell, thanks for posting this on our Community.
From what I understand, you’re being asked for the one-time code that’s sent to your inactive email address when trying to sign in to Dropbox. Is this correct?
Other than that, are the charges you received linked directly to Dropbox, or iTunes/Google Play? You can also double check this in your bank statement.
Let me know what you find, and we’ll go from there.

Correct, I can't sign in because I can't receive the one time codes. What I can't figure out is how the account is even active now, because my email expired in November of 2023 and I didn't have a paid Dropbox account at the time.
The charge was directly from Dropbox.

Dropbox only issues refunds where legally required https://help.dropbox.com/plans/refund
In terms of contacting support go to www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in - even to here, so try and use an incognito window. That will let you open a support ticket

That's pretty convenient for them in these kinds of situations. I could swear I didn't pay for the account last year but now I'm getting charges. But how do I prove anything when I can't even get into an old inactive account?
If they could get me signed back in then I could at least view my old files that I've been locked out of. But still don't really need them for $120. I'll check out the support page again I guess. Thanks Mark.

I didn't catch the link in the first line right away which was probably my dumb lack of observation, but now it is broken and doesn't lead anywhere. They probably pulled the ticket and I need to start a new one?
