Allow editing of Dropbox Capture transcription (and thus closed captions)
I am trying out Dropbox Capture. Unlike Loom, there appears to be no capacity to edit transcripts and associated closed captions. Surely I am mistaken! The ability to edit a transcript (with flow-on effects to closed captions) is integral to reliable video production. Please remedy. I won't be using DB Capture until that is done.

So disappointing that Dropbox is not considering this feature. It's a basic accessibility requirement and does not demonstrate best practice in equity for people with disabilities. It seems ironic that I receive Dropbox emails about all of the video-editing mark-up and feedback tools via Replay but we can't even edit captions on a dropbox Capture video. Without the ability to edit the captions/transcript, all video features in dropbox are unusable for me and my team.

What a laugh. I will NEVER use this feature unless it allows for editing of captions. It is borderline useless as is. Unless the captions are correct first time round, which almost never happens. So, another Dropbox feature that is poorly thought through. And you won't change it.

It should not be a question of beeing able to edit transscriptions. It´s a no-brainer. Of course this funtcion should be there - actually it´s amazing it´s not implemented from the start. I really expect a large company as DB to realize this!

Hi. We make hundreds of videos a year and they're all captioned, either in British or US English. The auto-captions are often incorrect in their spelling, mis-heard names or incorrect attempts to capture acronyms and technical terms. This makes them impossible to use publicly.

Same here!
I'd love to be able to do that, because I have errors in my transcripts every time. I'm a songwriter and the lyrcis matter when I share my songs with people. - YoucefDropbox3 years ago

Hi Youcef, yes I was trying to edit the transcript/captions because they contained errors. The automatic transcription software sometimes struggles with technical terminology, fast speakers, different accents, and doesn't always use correct punctuation.

Status changed:InvestigatingtoNewHey there! Youcef from the Capture team here. Thank you so much for your feedback. If you don't mind me asking, were you trying to edit the Transcript / Closed Caption because there was a mistake in them? Thanks!
