iOS 15 couldn’t save content error message
Upgraded iPhone to iOS 15 and now when I try to save a pdf in Safari using the Save to Dropbox or Dropbox link both error with Couldn’t save content, check your internet connection. The only way to export to Dropbox is to use the Save to Files and then upload pdf to Dropbox. I hope Dropbox will fix this issue ASAP

hi @walter, yes an email would be great. But if the problem has been solved, posting the same here might benefit others also?

We'll update the thread once we have an update Urbannomad
That said, I've just sent you an email to have a further look, so please have a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there. - DrBillC4 years agoExplorer | Level 3I’m having this same issue. I’m currently on 15.4.1 on an iPhone 13 Pro. Has there been any identified fix yet?
- Fxlarryw4 years agoHelpful | Level 6I have not seen a fix for this yet. I still have the error when trying to save a pdf directly to Dropbox on IOS browsers (safari, firefox, chrome). My workaround is to save the pdf to Files app and then upload to Dropbox.

That's the work around I've been using as well. Odd thing, from the same site (Social Security Administration checking statement, fact sheets, etc.) 2 of 3 documents I'm able to save to Dropbox. The smallest of the 3 at 44kb I couldn't. The only other difference I see is that the PDF producer is Adobe in the working files and "Customer Communications Management" in the file that won't save to Dropbox.

Walter, I am still a bit disappointed that this problem has not been fixed yet while many people have the same problem. Earlier, it was pointed to me that it was an iOS-problem but e.g. pCloud (another cloud service) is however able to save these documents without any problems! In the same context-menu’s as the “Save to Droxbox” items appear, pCloud has a similar option “Save to pCloud” and that does work perfectly: when Dropbox fails to save the document, pCloud succeeds. So why doesn’t this work for Dropbox? … It can’t be beyond your circle of influence. Again, please have this fixed. Thanks

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday, I hope you're all doing well.
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned throughout this thread? If I were you, the two necessary steps I would take would be to reboot the device, and uninstall/re-install the app.
One more thing I want you to check is if you can use the 'Save to files' option, and then choose the Dropbox folder from there.
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there.
- Fxlarryw4 years agoHelpful | Level 6I can confirm that rebooting device and reinstalling the app didn’t fix the issue.
I can save the pdf file using “Save to Files” and choose the Dropbox folder that I’ve enabled in the Files app. Sometimes the Files app can’t access the Dropbox folders if I have multiple pdf files to save, so I found just saving the file to a folder on my phone or iCloud is more reliable and just forces an extra step to upload manually to Dropbox from there.
Thanks for taking another look at the issue and hope a fix can be escalated to a higher priority.

this is still an issue on iOS 15.5. Trying to save a pdf from Safari on iPad to Dropbox and it says “can’t save content”

Hi Quentinnuk, welcome to our Community!
What is the OS and version of the app that you have installed on your end?
Can you also send me a screenshot of the error you see on your end, please?
