Logic Pro download corrupted files
Hi there, Using dropbox to sync my Logic Pro projects in real-time. Uploaded multiple to 'online-only' and then used smart sync to shift them to 'local' as I needed to work on some old files but I'm getting the same error message every time which implies that part of the file integrity is wrong and the projects simply won't open but Dropbox is saying that the file is fully local and all of the files are downloaded. I'm on Mac OS Mojave.
I've read the section about Apple's packaged files and the article never said that they were incompatible, with no major issues reported... however, this is a major issue! Any help will be appreciated
Side note: this is only happening to the project that I've been redownloading by switching smart sync to local on the package file for that particular project. I understand that zipping the files is a way around this in the future but I need to access the files currently and that would also use a lot more space in the long run!!
Thanks,

Hi Aaron Ferrucci, thanks for messaging the Community!
Does this occur for any Logic Pro file you're trying to open, even file test files?
Do you always mark those files as local first before opening them on your machine?
This will help me to assist further! - Aaron Ferrucci5 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Hi Jay, yes ti occurs with every Logic pro file that i'd previously set to 'online-only' using smart sync and then set to 'local', thus redownlaoding it. Yes I always mark the files local before opening them. I'm not sure what you mean by test files? But it happens with every logic project that I've downloaded from smart sync

Thanks for the info. Regarding test files, I meant for any new file that you've created to see if the same behavior occurs.

Hey mrbmusic, thanks for the nudge here and sorry to see you're having trouble.
Can you give us a few more details about your issue?
Are you getting the exact same error message and the user who originally created this thread?
And is it also after switching the files to online-only and then making them available offline again?
Any additional info would be appreciated!

Can we not use Dropbox to hold our Logic files?

HI Nick. Did you get this resolved at all? Have you concluded Dropbox can no longer hold Logic Pro files? I have the same problem but I find OneDrive also fails to hold Logic files withouth corrupting them. Can we only use hard drives to back up now?
