Dropbox was removed from my computer and all my desktop files disappeared

My IT group removed Dropbox from my computer yesterday. While they did not see any files in the online Dropbox, when they removed it from my computer, all of the files on my desktop disappeared and are nowhere to be found. Any ideas?

    Hey DL62, sorry to hear about your files.

     

    Do you specifically mean the files in your Desktop folder? Was Dropbox backup enabled on the app?

     

    What do you see in your backups page online?
