“This file requested has been closed, deleted, or never existed”
My entire team is being affected by this issue. All of our links report this error message.
A bit about us: we are a mostly remote support team. All are working on different networks and browsers. Our link is not expired and shows as set to 'never expires.' We have plenty of available storage. We have tried making new requests just to be on the same side, same issue.
I made a support ticket, but the support I received was not helpful, and I have been waiting half a day for a follow-up.
Is anyone else currently experiencing this? Or have you experienced this in the past and have a solution?
Morning Rich, yes, this issue is now resolved 🙂

Welcome aboard the Community, idatopaz!
First of all, can you please send me the ticket number from your convo with our support team?
Also, just to clarify, are you all receiving this error, when you’re creating new file requests from your Dropbox account, or is the same thing happening, when other team members create them, as well?
When did you start having this issue exactly? Did something else occur, right before this error appeared?
Nudge me, when you’ve got more details.

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for following up with me.
Ticket #23143662
No, this error occurs when anyone (including our team) attempts to use the file request link we already have. Each person on our team has a unique link to their DB submission. None of us work. This began about 48 hours ago and no one changed anything on our end.
For example, here is mine;

I just uploaded a Test.txt file to your File Request without a problem. I redacted your name to keep it private.

I am having the same issue (for the second time). How were you able to resolve the issue please?
Support team don't seem to be aware of it and didn't provide any details of the fix/cause last time around. My current ticket #23424804
Cheers!

Hey Jack G - thanks for the ticket ID and sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
I can see that a member of my team has responded to your ticket and is waiting for your reply.
I'd suggest getting back to them as soon as possible to continue troubleshooting this issue with your file requests.
Let us know if you have anything else to add or ask in the meantime.

I am now encountering this same problem with file requests. Did you ever get a fix for this?

Hi MichaelErtelPub, could you provide more details about exactly what you're experiencing? Is this for old, or new requests?
Are you currently under quota when attempting to use a file request link?

This is a new file request. I am using the link to add to a button in Squarespace. I did this last year and it worked just fine, but this year that's not the case.

I believe I have found the solution to my problem. I think it was possibly in my code for the button. Still doesn't make sense that it would come up with that message. If the code was wrong I would think it would be a 404.
