Folder updates in progress
Hi guys,
I want to share folders with some users in my test team.
My test folders only contain 1 file of about 3MB, I tested with only 5 users.
But every time I share, I get an error message "Folder updates in progress". I've tried using incognito browsers, many different ones, and I've also tried waiting until the next day to use it again, but it's still the same.
Is there any way to fix this issue? Please advise me.

Hi M1207, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try creating a shared folder first, and then add the test file into that folder to see if you get the same message?
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi Jay,
I created 9 folders and in each folder I added test files, then shared them to all 4 users. Sharing in this folder is completely normal, no errors occur.
For team folder GT1, I can add permission for 5 people, but for team folder GT2, after adding 3 people an error message occurs. Team folders from GT3 to GT9 also reported the same error.

Thanks for the screenshots, M1207!
Do you get the same behavior when you try from other browsers or a private browsing window as well?

same issue here. tried the cache/incognito mode/restarted browser/different browsers and keep getting the same error. this is a pretty significant issue since the whole premise of using dropbox for my organization was to be able to share folders seamlessly...

Sorry to hear same thing’s happening to you, jsuh.
Does this occur when you share a specific folder, or with any folder that you’re creating and sharing on your Dropbox account?

It happens with any folder; I've tried deleting folders and recreating them and I've tried just sharing one person at a time. One person will randomly work but all the rest I get errors.

Thanks for clarifying that! If possible, I’d like you to try following the same steps via the desktop and mobile apps.
Does that seem to make a difference, or are you seeing the same error on all Dropbox platforms?
