Shared files were not downloaded in time and now are deleted - is there a way to recover them?

Dear Dropbox Support Team,

 

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out regarding a set of files that were unfortunately deleted from my account. These files were videos and pictures from my honeymoon in Dubai, taken during a skydiving experience with iFly Dubai. They were originally shared with me via Dropbox, but I did not save them in time. iFly Dubai has since informed me that the files are no longer available on their end.

 

I am extremely devastated, as these files hold deep sentimental value. I am currently going through postpartum recovery, and knowing that I may never be able to experience skydiving again for health reasons makes this loss feel even heavier. These memories represent a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I would be so grateful if there were any way Dropbox could help me recover them.

 

Any assistance you can provide would mean a great deal to me.

    Unfortunately, if the share was removed from your account, there's no way for you to recover the files. The original owner would need to share the files with you again. You can check your Share page to see if the folder is still available to rejoin, but if it's not listed there, there's no way to recover the files.
