My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

Hi vibrantbadger35, welcome to our Community!
Can you check the plan tab in your account settings, and let me know what it reports there? If you were excessively over your allocated quota, you'd need to delete a lot of files, in order to free-up your space.
Or perhaps you have any active Backups enabled.
Let me know what you find!

How come my dropbox is full because using 2,5 GB from 2GB and can't sync whereas my folder in dropbox has 1,6 GB only, I've tried any way to fixed this problem. Can anyone help me?

Why is it possible that my Dropbox account sends a notification that it's full, but it appears to have only around 30MB of storage occupied? There are no hidden files or any data among the deleted files, and no backup files, yet the account indicates that 4.5GB is in use.

Hi instantws & Hung5 , let's jump right into this!
Can you check the plan tab in your account settings, and let me know what it reports there? If you were excessively over your allocated quota, you'd need to delete a lot of files, in order to free-up your space.
What about any shared content? I'd personally suggest that you follow the steps our Community Manager, Emmet posted here.
Let me know if you need anything else!

This is what I see when I check my dropbox 1.05MB out of 2GB used. Why am I being told I am out of space and will have my files deleted if I do not upgrade?

Thank you for your quick response. I just found that I have 2 Dropbox accts, 1 in Hotmail and 1 in Gmail. There is nothing in the Hotmail but the Gmail is way over the limit. I now need to find out how to transfer some of these photos so I don't lose them and free up space in my Dropbox.
