I'm seeing a weird exclamation mark next to Dropbox on Xmind on my iPad.
Hello,
My Dropbox app on iPad is not syncing with my Windows 11 desktop. For example, when I open a mind mapping software that I use (Xmind) and try to open a mind map that I saved in Dropbox desktop: beside the Dropbox icon, there is a circle formed by two arrows with an exclamation point inside of the circle. I cannot find any information in Dropbox support files on this specific icon. I am guessing it is indicating some sort of sync issue. I would appreciate your instruction and help for this Dropbox newbie. Thanks much!
Dave
Hi DavidJ1, have you tried reaching out to the developer of the Xmind app to see if they're able to provide assistance on this matter?

I just barely uninstalled and reinstalled the dropbox app and it seemed to fix it..

Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same exact issue now with my apple devices. I have no issue on my Windows PC with syncing. The work I do on my PC is not translating to my Apple devices... some of it anyway. Whereas some of it is syncing. It says "Syncing with Dropbox is Paused". I have no idea how to unpause it though. I have tried different networks, tried making it available offline on the dropbox app.. all of it

I have discovered that this icon is not just happening in Xmind. I have seen it also in the File management app for iPad. I don’t seem to have this problem on my laptop with Windows 11. Could this be a problem with the iPad somehow?

That's not a Dropbox-specific icon. It likely means the connection to Dropbox has failed. Have you tried to disconnect/reconnect Dropbox within the Xmind app?
Do you have the Dropbox app installed on your iPad? If so, is it working as expected? If it's installed, can you also access your Dropbox through the Files app?

Unfortunately, I am continuing to get this icon. Sometimes it is red and sometimes it is blue. I have searched in Dropbox Help for the meaning of icons. I have been unable to find this one; therefore, I don’t know what it means. I don’t know if it is a normal icon or is an indication of an error of some sort. Can you help with this? Thanks much!

Yes, I can see them all. Version is 18.0.1. It is now happening intermittently. For example, I just opened Xmind and the icon that I posted earlier was not present. I am beginning to think that this is an Xmind issue rather than a Dropbox one.

Hey DavidJ1! Have you tried reinstalling Xmind on your device?
To clarify, are you seeing all of your files normally, if you open the Dropbox mobile app? What’s its current app version on your iPad?
