Sign in with Apple ID shows that the account is disabled

Hello, If I try to sign in/continue with Apple id in browser or iOS app. It shows an error > account is disabled.

But when I sign in using the same icloud email, there is no any issue.

I made a mistake of choosing "Hide my Email" on my first attempt to sign in and it created the new account which I had to delete.

After that I can't use the Continue with Apple feature anymore.

Please solve the issue.

Thanks

Hey IMExperts, sorry to jump in here.

Can you please use the steps in this article to deactivate the "Hide My Email" option for your Dropbox and then try to sign in with Apple again, to see if that helps?

    Hi Megan,

Yes exactly, that’s what actually happend.

I’m using dropbox for more than a decade and at that time there was no any option to Sign in with Apple. So, I created my account using the iCloud email. Now I thought to integrate it with Sign in with Apple. Because it’s much easier to login your account instead of tyling the email and password manually. But I mistakenly check the Hide my email option while signing in and it created qnother fresh account which I had to delete. But now when I try to sign in it shows account disabled message.

    I hope it explains everything.

    Thank you

Hi IMExperts, thanks for the screenshot!

Can you check that your credentials are still saved using these steps?

Also, is it possible that you accidentally created two accounts here? One with the "Hide my email" feature, and one with your iCloud email?

Hi IMExperts, for security reasons, I've gone ahead and removed your link, since it can cause too much traffic to your Dropbox account.

Could you try clicking the camera-like icon, and attaching your screenshot directly to us?

Hi IMExperts, I'd be happy to help!

Would you mind clarifying the OS you're using, along with the Dropbox app version you have installed there?

If you could also send me a screenshot of the error you get, that'd be amazing.

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
