Was my account deleted due to inactivity?

I had a gmail Dropbox account before many years and this year when I tried to login with my gmail Dropbox sent me an email "Welcome to Dropbox...". Does that mean that this account has been deleted due to inactivity and when I signed in it reactivated the account ?

Most likely, yes. If you hadn't signed in to the account within the last 12 months, it would have been deleted due to inactivity. When you try to sign in to an account that was deleted, the account is re-opened as a new, empty account.

    Hello,
I have used dropbox for several years (my dropbox mail address was:[removed])
The problem is that I cannot access my account today.
Today, I tried to register dropbox account with the same mail address. Surprisingly, an account with the same mail address was created. Maybe my original account with my data file was deleted.I need my past data for my special work and its urgency.
I want to restore my data and original account.
    Thank you.

This e mail send me from dropbox on 16.05.2017

Hey Melih, thanks for reaching out to us.

If your account was deleted due to inactivity and then you also created a new account using that same email address, I'm afraid the original account cannot be recovered.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this matter.

Melih, if you attempt to log in to Dropbox with your old email address, are you able to access your account, or do you see a message that it's been disabled?

It sounds like this Dropbox account has been closed due to inactivity, then. Dropbox may delete an account, if it’s been inactive for more than a year.

However, you should receive a reminder to your email address before the account gets disabled.
