My Dropbox account is full and I'm missing important files.
yes Ihave same issues ; Dropbox says my account is full. Yes it's full of files I did not put in there. And my very. important files are gone. I only joined dropbox because I was advised by an attorney this was safe for my files . Guess NOT safe at all. And No help from Dropbox, the AI chatbot cant understand a single question and keeps sending me to faqs. Yes I have tried all the FAQS dropbox. Now What?

Hey DL183, I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
When saying your Dropbox account is full of files you didn’t store in it, can you please clarify that? Do you mean that someone else shared files with you and they’re taking up your Dropbox space?
If yes, you can try these steps for any shared folders you don’t wish to be a member of any longer.
Other than that, is it possible you’ve enabled computer backup on your Dropbox account, which will also affect its storage?
Finally, regarding the files you’re missing, when was the last time you could see them on www.dropbox.com? Have you checked your Deleted files, Events and Shared pages and they’re not there?
Let me know what you find.
