Can’t remove shared folder due to lack of space
Hi Dropbox team,
I’m having an issue with a shared folder called “Worms”.
I’m not a member of this folder, but it keeps showing under my “Shared” tab and is taking up 1 GB of space.
Whenever I try to open or remove it, I get the message “Not enough space”, and I can’t accept or decline the invitation.
I’ve tried the /share/invites page and all standard fixes, but nothing works.
Could you please manually remove this folder/invitation from my account?
Basic pack
Thank you in advance!

Thanks Hannah for your reply! That was a solution, there was a HD backup folder. I wondered as well that 3 pics can make that trouble. I could not see any other folder when I clicked on different buttons. But as soon I clicked on your link I got directly to my backup folder. After I managed to fix all my Dropbox problems.
Thanks a lot

Hey mgry, thanks for the updates here.
If you only have three image files in your account, there must be something else that's taking up your space and filling it up.
Would you mind taking a look at your backups page here, to see if you have any backup files?

Hi Walter
Thanks for your reply
No, Worms folder is not placed in any other folders

Hi Rich! Thanks for your reply. I am not sure that the Worms folder is filling my space , because as you can see on my previous screenshot it is only 1 GB. I attach a new screenshot displaying all files I have in Dropbox.
As you can see I have ONLY three pictures in my Dropbox, so I am in a huge doubt what is filling my space.
You asked me about full message which starts with " Der er ikke plads til at åb...", meaning is Not enough space to open... ( literally) . I do not get any additional text moving mouse over that message.
What to do? I have 3 pictures and a 1 gb folder Worms (which is not supposed to fill anything) and my 2 Gb space is full.
Thanks in advance

From your screenshot it appears that Worms is the parent shared folder.
Are you sure that this folder is actually taking up space in your account? The message in your screenshot is truncated, but it appears that it's telling you that there's not enough space in your account to accept the shared folder. Until you actually join the folder, it wouldn't take up any space in your account.
Can you see what the full message is, where it starts with "Der er ikke nok plads til at ..."

Where can I find this parent shared folder in this case? I am sure this "Worms" folder is only one folder I shared/was shared .
Can you remove that folder from my box, as a administrator?
Thanks in advance

In that case, have you tried removing the parent shared folder instead mgry?

Without beeing 100 % sure, it should not contain any other shared files, it is just an old game Worms. The folder itself is in Shared folder.
Thanx in advance

I see, thanks for the update mgry
Could it be that this folder is nested within another folder or that it contains other shared folders by any chance?
