My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

My dropbox is indicating "Your personal dropbox is full using 2.6 regular files." I can't find the regular files that is using the space. I do not have any files in "Shared," "Deleted," "All files," etc. How do I locate these "regular files" and remove them and free up space! Thank you.

Hey SOpp, welcome to our Community!
Have you enabled our Backup feature, by any chance?
Also, where is the 'full' message coming from? Where is it showing?
Keep me posted!

When I log into Dropbox it flashes "you are not syncing, dropbox is full." I was able to locate that it is regular files and not back up files.
Backup is NOT enabled at this time. It was and somehow when I put a flash drive in it backed it up. We deleted those files from backup, but it didn't clear them out of dropbox and it is still showing full "regular files"

Hi SOpp, could you send me a screenshot of what your plan page reports?
Also, what do you see when visiting your account's home page?

GODDAMN BACKUP.
why is there no proper link to that on the /home page??????? it is impossible to find without the link you posted.
also the backup data does not count against the quota until you fill the dropbox a bit, then it suddenly appears as ghost data, i was going crazy figuring out what the hell is filling my dropbox.

Attached is a picture of the information showing "regular files" are using the space. There are no files showing when I log on to Dropbox

Hey SOpp, sorry for jumping in here.
If it was backup files, they'd still show up as 'regular files' on your plan page.
Can you go to this page and send me a screenshot of what you see there?

This is what I get!

Thanks for the screenshot, SOpp.
One more thing, would you mind sending us a screenshot of the current syncing status of the Dropbox application on your computer?
To see that, please hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.
Make sure to click on the arrow that shows your hidden icons, if you don't see the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

This is the response I receive regarding syncing:
Review asap: Your Dropbox has stopped syncing. You’ve reached the limits on your current plan. Resubscribe for up to 3 TB of space.
