My Word files are not getting saved to Dropbox on Android

Greetings to the Community,

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with the Microsoft Word app on my Android tablet in conjunction with Dropbox. Previously, I was able to seamlessly save my Word documents to my Dropbox account by selecting "Save As" and choosing the Dropbox folder. However, for the past month, this process has ceased to function.

Despite diligently following the same steps as before, my saved documents are no longer appearing in the Dropbox app, Dropbox Web, or my Dropbox desktop application on my laptop. Essentially, my work is not being uploaded to Dropbox.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Your expertise in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Sincerely,

Joseph

I see, thanks for clarifying that for me Josef25

Have you by any chance contacted Microsoft directly about this?

As a side note, have you tried disconnecting the app integration from your Connected Apps tab and re-connecting it anew since you first noticed this issue?

Same problem. I have a large file which I update regularly and store in Dropbox but now it no longer syncs with Word when I save it with new information. Very frustrating.

Hey Pablo Casals, sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

Can you give us any additional info on how you edit the file?

Are you using the Dropbox mobile app? And if so, which version?

I edit the Word file in a Microsoft 365 Word account on my android. Then I save it in Dropbox. In the Microsoft app it shows the file name and when I reopen it it says downloading from Dropbox and has saved changes, but if I go to the Dropbox app it is not there at all.

Thanks for clarifying that for us Pablo Casals

Could you also clarify your device's exact OS version for us and the Dropbox mobile app's as well?

Have you ensured that you're running the most up to date version for both apps and your device's OS as well?

Any additional information or screenshots are more than welcome!

Have you tried clearing the cache of both apps and restarting your device since you first noticed this, Pablo?
