The ability to add tags in the mobile app.

I’m not sure why this has been suggested for years now and this basic functionality still isn’t present in the app. This makes your automation really frustrating if I can’t add tags on my phone when I’m away from my computer and adding files from my phone.

Tagging on the mobile iOS app is essential for those who don’t use DropBox on a computer.
When it comes to incorporating automations, without tagging, sadly it doesn’t make sense to use DropBox. I’d be happy with simply being able to tag a file, but it would be really valuable to be able to select multiple files and add a tag to all of them (Similar to how you can rename multiple files at once on the iOS app).

Tagging folders would be nice too.

I just started the process of switching to another service to be able to tag. But as a long time DropBox fan, I’m bummed to leave. I feel like someone can figure it out!! So I am posting here as a last ditch effort! Thanks!

Have there been any updates about this feature? I recently transferred a few gigs worth of pictures to drop box and would like to organize by who is in the picture. Tagging on the phone would make this process so much easier than having to use the laptop later on at home. It's like repeating the work for no reason. Please help!

If I could tag photos in the mobile app, I would leave Google Drive for Dropbox.  As a parent, I organize files on my phone during little snippets of time throughout the day.  Without tags or albums of some sort, photo organization becomes unwieldy.

The ability to tag via mobile app would help me to stay organized with Dropbox.

It would help me categorize and photos, videos and documents when they’re uploaded instead of having to go back and do it when I’m finally at my desktop (which is never).

The amount of time it would save me is astronomical (at least 75%) and the automations that would be possible would increase 10x.

Furthermore, my arm and wrist hurts from going back and tagging so many items at a time. It would be much easier and less painful from the mobile app.

The tagging function is already on desktop, I would think it would be easy to add it to the mobile app.

This function is important enough for me that if I find a worthy competitor that has it, I’d most likely leave Dropbox.

Please please please add this feature.
