Why is this marked solved? There is not a solution yet.

ARM Native Desktop Client for Pi, ARM64 Mac, Windows

Reopening this discussion as there is no resolution given the "solution" does not really solve the ask:

We're looking for a native ARM client for Linux (Raspberry Pi), Macintosh (M1/M2 CPU), and Windows (ARM native).  It's been years now.  Apple's going to ARM, Windows has prepared for the x86/x64 deprecation, and there's a lot of Linux based ARM desktops out there now.  Hell, even the Chromebooks are slowly going ARM.

All we need to do is get Dropbox recompiled on these platforms.  So, where's the clients?

Hi @STrRedWolf

Thanks for your input here. Dropbox currently offers native support for Apple Silicon.

While I don't have any news to share at this time for native ARM clients for Linux and Windows, we will be sure to update the community when we know more.

Best,

Ben

Make sure this gets escalated.  It's been too many years since it was originally asked.

Hm... 🤔 i.e. never. 🤷

How long takes a recompilation of your application? 🧐 Hour or might be 2; in this range, depending your workstations power (if they are low category). Much faster for a bit newer machines! Actually you don't need to change anything, but the configuration (in the part of platform support - few new lines). How long can take? 🤦 And how long has passed? ...as @STrRedWolf  mentioned. ...

@BenDBX, please stop the honey lies. If you want just say something like "It's not in Dropbox focus currently. I have no idea when it will be; financial evaluation doesn't provide good results for now."... Is it so difficult?... or it's easier lying?

And also, WHY WAS THIS MERGED?!?

Ether unmerge or de-mark this as solved.

@Dropbox, you need to take this seriously.  Using the S mode application is not an option.  Windows for ARM is here and we need full functionality.  It's extremally disappointing that you are not supporting this platform.  We demand answers.

@BenDBX, please un-mark this thread as "solved."  This is not solved!  We need a native full Dropbox experience for Windows 11 ARM and need it very soon otherwise you will lose our subscriptions.
