All files appear in grid view, but a file is missing in list view
Hello,
I'm new here. I have uploaded 10 files to publically share with my students in the general public, but my files are automatically displaying in List mode and only 9 files of my 10 files appear in the List. When I change to view mode to boxes, then all 10 files appear. But Dropbox seems to be set to List mode as default and my students don't know there are more than 9 files to study. How can I change to view mode to Boxes so that it permanently stays as boxes, if that's possible? Otherwise, the rubbish list viewing mode only shows 9 files and I need to share more than 9 files. I don't believe Dropbox can be this basic. There must be a way I can set my viewing layout to boxes. I need to share more than 9 files and I need more than 9 files to be shown on my Dropbox at a time. Please help. I hope I don't have to find a more advanced application to share more than 9 files at a time.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, aylamichelle, this sounds quite strange.
Can you send us a couple of screenshots of both views, so we can compare?
Is this on our website? If so, can you try another browser or a private browsing window, to see if you get a different behavior?
Keep me posted.

Hello,
Please find a screen snapshot attached. I am very surprised that you are telling me its a browser error. I don't think so. This is an example of a poor app design. Its a shame really. I have to find another app to use now.

Hi aylamichelle, I removed the image due to the personal information displayed there. Currently, it isn't possible to automatically set the grid view as a default for other users viewing the shared link on the Dropbox site.
If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future.
