Downloading folders from Dropbox to my Samsung S9+

I can upload folders from my Samsung S9+ and PC to Dropbox but I can only download folders from Dropbox to my PC. I can't
d/l a folder from the S9+ I have to open the folder and d/l each item individually. Very time consuming. What am I missing. Any help appreciated.

  • Hey Petew18, sorry for jumping in. At the moment, it’s not possible to export a whole folder on the mobile app.

However, what you can do, is open the folder on your Dropbox app, select all files within (by tapping on the square icon with the checkmark at the top right corner of your screen) and then export them to your device by tapping on the ellipsis icon with the three dots and selecting the “Save to device” option.

Hi Petew18 - sorry to hear you're  having issues with this.

Can you please walk me through the exact steps you take to do this and also clarify if you're using a web browser or the Dropbox mobile app instead?

    Thanks!

Hi Walter, I'm using the app downloaded from the google play store on the S9+ and a web browser on the PC. When I open the app it displays the folders available on Dropbox. If I select a folder and click on the 3 dots to the right of it to display the "options" there are options to "display" or "share" but not "save to device" as there is if I open the folder and check the "options" for an individual file. Selecting "save to device" I can save the file to the S9+.  On the PC, selecting a Folder and displaying the folder's options gives the option to d/l the folder. Which I've used successfully. I hope this all makes sense. TIA
