“Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated.
When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: “Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. There’s not internet connection issue; I’m connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didn’t encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.
Hi everybody,
As many of you have noticed, we implemented a fix in our updated version 362.7
Feel free to reach out if you're still having issues.
Thank you!
Sam

I have the very same problem with downloadning pdf files. It is not a Reader’s View problem.

If I send the pdf file to myself by email (in the same window), it arrives fine.

Hey everyone, thanks for posting your experience with us.
Can you please make sure you are all on the latest version of the Dropbox app on your devices?
Also, which version of Safari are you using that's giving you this issue?

Using an iPad Pro. I can’t find the exact versions of Safari and Dropbox, but I made sure they are the most recent available. For me this started with the last iPad OS update. I can save by going to Files and then choosing Dropbox. But not directly to Dropbox.
thank you in advance for your assistance

My experiences are the same.

I can confirm that I am running the latest version of both Dropbox and Safari on my iPad Air. I keep my apps update and go to the App Store every day to see what apps have updates. For me, this issue started last week when iPad OS 17.3 was pushed out.
- Otroftheyear2 years agoHelpful | Level 5I call Apple and opened a ticket on this issue. They contacted me and ran tests. Seems it is a problem with down loads from Safari to Dropbox only. We tried PDF download to Dropbox and got the no internet message, then tried the same thing to icould. That worked fine then once more to OneDrive. Worked fine. Apple then said the it’s a Dropbox problem that they have to fix within there code.
- vesuvana2 years agoHelpful | Level 5I have almost the same problem. Since upgrading to iOS 17.3 I get that same error message when trying to save any webpage to Dropbox. It happens whether I attempt the save via Share or Save To and also whether I choose Automatic format or PDF. I am completely stuck, being unable to get any webpage into Dropbox. Yes it's an Apple problem (of course) but is there anything Dropbox can do to help us?

Thanks for the info. Not surprised that Apple verified trouble was with Dropbox code.

I installed iOS 17.4 yesterday. While the same “couldn’t save” window appears when I click on the Dropbox icon, or select Save to Dropbox, for at least some websites, the Share dropdown offers “Save to Files,” when it previously did not. When that option’s available, I can save directly to Dropbox, which I’d integrated into my iPad files.
