Dropbox says my storage is full, but I don't have any files in my account.
Hello. My account says my storage is full. But I don't have any documents in my dropbox at all. Can anyone help tell why?
Hi Jonas Kusk, welcome to our Community!
Can you check the plan tab in your account settings, and let me know what it reports there? Do you have any shared content taking up space in your account?
Or perhaps you have any active Backups enabled. Can you check that as well?
Let me know what you find!

Hi Megan.
Thanks for your reply back. Is it possible to send a screenshot through this chat? Then I want to be able to show what my account says.

Hey Jonas Kusk, thanks for the speedy reply!
Sure thing. You can either click the camera-like icon when replying back to us, and attach your screenshots.
Or you can copy it and then paste it here. If you have any trouble when doing that, let me know.

Hello. Here are 2 screenshots showing that I am using 0 gb out of 2 gb available. The second picture shows that there is no content on that dropbox account. Can you help?

Thanks for the screenshots Jonas Kusk! 😀
Did you also check the pages I provided in my earliest reply? Do you see any info or content there?

Hello.
I have found that it is because the person trying to share something with me, that material takes up 30 gb. I just tried to share 200 mb and it goes through fine. I thank you many times for your help.- Megan

Hello Megan,
I have a similar problem if you don't mind me tagging along here (I'm new here and can't see anywhere to post a new question).
I have 9.25 GB of storage and am using 2.43 GB but just had an email saying my storage was nearly full. I have sent quite a lot of files in the past few days but have deleted them all at my end. Is this because the recipients haven't deleted the files at their end?
Many thanks
Kay
