Why is a guest account getting the 2GB storage warning?

Hi there.

I have joined a corporate Dropbox account as a guest but for some reason I am seeing the 2GB (out of space) warning even though I'm not syncing locally and again ... I'm just a guest to a sorporate account.

There is no such thing as a guest I'm afraid. Unless you are a paid licence within that account, any files within your account uses your quota.

So if you need to sync over 2gb you need to upgrade or get them to make you a part of the team.

If you need read only access instead, ask for a shared link.
