The Dropbox desktop application isn't running or syncing on my machine

Hi, earlier this month I uninstalled my Dropbox app after noticing that it stopped syncing files on desktop. However, after I re-downloaded and installed, I cannot open it. 

I tried re-installed again, and tried downloading the offline installation version, but still cannot solve the problem.

    Could you let us know the current status of the Dropbox desktop application when you click the icon on the system tray/menu bar?

    What OS are you currently running on your machine?
