How to close a Word document, it seems I don't have the option?
The close link in the Word for Web application does not work. I cannot see any settings to resolve this issue. I have cleared cache and cookies and tried again but it still does not work. I have tried using both Chrome and Microsoft Edge on a PC and Safari on a Mac. How do I resolve this? We are training some newbies on edit documents and need to let them know how to properly close the file. I have done the Save As/Rename, and while that works, it does not close the tab for the document and we end up with another tab. Thanks

Hi jhmosow, I hope you're doing well!
After doing some research into Microsoft's end, it seems that to close a document, simply close the browser tab or window. In Word for the web, your document is saved automatically as you work.
I hope this helps!

Thanks. The Close option worked last year. I know about closing the tab but it is odd to have the Close option show without the link.
