Localwp Dropbox backup connection failed: 500 Server Error

I have been trying to establish backup options for Local from WP Engine with Dropbox. Each time it is unsuccessful (500 Server Error),  even though it clearly states all permissions granted when checked under Third Party Apps in Dropbox settings.

I'm in touch with the developer (Localwp.com) as well to figure out whether the fault lies on their end or Dropbox's end. Let you know if it gets fixed. Thanks!!

You need to go back to the developer of the app because something at their side is not functioning correctly. Usually this is due to them not using the most up to date versions of the API so you could try making sure you have a relatively new version of the software to see if that fixes it,
