Is Dropbox Basic Still Allowed for Business Use in 2025?

I remember reading about this question around 4 years ago, but I’m curious if anything has changed since then. Specifically, is it still allowed to use a Dropbox Basic account for business purposes? Are there any new legal restrictions or limitations that businesses should be aware of when considering Dropbox Basic for commercial use?

    Hi arnelo, thanks for messaging the Community.

    Technically, you could use Dropbox Basic for a business, just like other plans.

    The same implications apply as before regarding the differences in plans. Dropbox Business plans have information on HIPAA compliance, as well as other measures, which Basic plans don't have.

    Likewise, data is more secure since the team admin controls the data on the team and its members.
