Can we have an option to add a new folder upon saving a file on the iOS app?
When saving a file or a URL on the DB iPhone app, thx for making it somwhat easier to navigate to when the user wants to save the file. (Though it could be better w options for sort by most recent, alphabetical, etc).
But the biggest issue is the user can’t create a new folder within the selected folder while still in the save mode.
User has to drop the new file loose and then go back and create the new folder and then move the previously dropped file into the newly created folder.

Hi Hansen Photo, thanks for your suggestion!
May I ask a few more details, like what’s the OS version of your device, as well as for a screenshot of the options you see when selecting “Save to Dropbox”?
You can hide any personal info that may be showing.
Let me know when you’re ready.

When receiving files from third parties and I'm using the "Save to Dropbox" option, I'd love to have the option on the next screen to create a new folder where I want it saved in my account, without having to rely on folders that already exist.

I’m running iOS 14.4 with latest version of Dropbox. This has been the case since iOS 14!!! The option to save to Dropbox that was available in iOS 13 is still available. Dropbox team please fix this glitch. No reason for us to go through this exercise every time we want to create a folder while saving. Please let me know.

Glad others agree. Many months later and I see a workaround on Creating a New Folder while still in Save to Dropbox that may be part of the latest iOS 14.2
If you try to save this or other webpages to iOS DropBox while viewing within iOS Safari, as best I can tell, you get the option to add a new DB folder during the save process if you choose:
Share Sheet
Options
Send As WebArchive
At which point you can either
save this web archive by
[still on] Share Sheet
Save To Files
Navigating up to the top level to Dropbox [whichever Account]
and then where in Dropbox you want to do
+ New Folder
and then Choose Save on that new folder
OR (particularly if you wanted to save to PDF)
after you make the new folder as above in Save To Files,
while still on the
Share Sheet,
go back to Options: Send As
Choose Automatic or PDF
Now tap
Save To Dropbox
Choose A Different Folder
[navigate to your newly created folder]
Save**********************
Not sure if this works in other iOS apps other than Safari or selected text in iOS Mail, and it's still a few extra steps for the second option, but at least we don't have to:
leave the app/file we were originally trying to save into Dropbox;
go to the Dropbox app;
make the new folder;
and then go back to original app to finish the Save To.
PS - If you want Dropbox to fully implement + New Folder into the iOS Save process, they advise they need to see more upvotes and/comments on this thread, so pass this to friends/associates who use Dropbox.
