Remove the delete ability from external user(s)
PLEASE allow us to restrict the ability of external users to delete files and folders in a shared folder. I just ran into an issue where a user, that had edit permission, deleted all of the files and folders in a shared folder. Allow us to restrict the ability to delete by users.
Or change the view permission to upload files and folders.
This seems so easy to do, yet it doesn't happen.
If I'm missing a setting, please enlighten me.
Thank you.

No idea. Dropbox typically doesn't announce what's planned. I just meant that IF it's something that changes, until then you can get around it.

That is what I do now. Lot's more work. In the age of AI, this seems like simple functionality.
You say 'in the meantime'. Is there a planned functionality improvement?

In the meantime, you can use a File Request to allow someone to upload files without giving them edit abilities.
