Adding screenshots to these Dropbox Community posts

Adding screenshots to these Dropbox Community posts

To insert a photo in a post like this to dropbox community it links to your photos folder. I only ever want to share screenshots which I have automatically uploading to dropbox, yet I need to re-upload it to photos, can either

  • community posts allow inserting image files from anywhere in someone's dropbox?;
  • Put screenshots folder in a subfolder of photos? or;
  • Allow dropbox link inserting of photos in the url insert field?

Hi @annachiaretta, are you uploading files via a desktop browser, or a mobile browser?

Are you referring to the Photos folder in Dropbox (as in, Camera Uploads, or Screenshots), or another location?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay, I am using the automated screenshots upload in Dropbox desktop on Mac. Screenshots go directly into dropbox as they should, but for these comments the only way to attach an image is by uploading them here, why not link the photos feature in dropbox or the screenshots?

I don't totally understand how photos works (seems to scan the whole dropbox for file types?), but it seems the community environment is totally separate? very weird that I can't simply pull from dropbox screenshots to support these comments.

Currently, the Dropbox Community only uses your Dropbox account to login and create or reply to posts. It doesn't link anything else, so your files are kept separate from the community profile.

I'll leave this idea open for other users to vote on.
