Option to open files types of unknown extensions as text in order to edit them on mobile

I'm trying to work on scientific manuscripts using Dropbox, but it's really annoying that I can't edit my document on my phone. Many technical writers use LaTeX (.tex) file extensions, and recently I've been using Quarto (.qmd) extensions. I had gotten my hopes up when I saw I could edit a Markdown (.md) file from the iOS app (but not the browser), but it's disappointing that I can't edit a closely related file format (.qmd). Could there please be an option somewhere to edit a file with an unknown extension as pure text?
