Support Vault on Linux

Support Vault on Linux

8BitKid

Currently, the "Vault" isn't properly supported on many Linux distros. For example, on several Debian-based systems the GUI shows a `Vault.dbx-vault` file in the `~/Dropbox` folder.

Ideally, when installing the Dropbox client GUI via the `.deb` or `.rpm`, the client would also provide feature parity for using the Vault from within the desktop environment.

This idea is going to need a bit more support.

Supporting Vault on Linux would be a really nice improvement, and I'm sure it'll increase adoption of it too.

We, the Linux users are feeling that we're left behind, or worse, put on life support considering the state of the Linux client. It's really disappointing sometimes.

There are many small things which can be added to Linux and  bring huge wins for users (e.g.: Create transfers via right click?)

I have a paid version, and it is extremely frustrating that there is no Vault support on Linux

I also have a paid version and would like to benefit from Vault on Linux.

I was disappointed when I found Vault does not work on Linux. Even more so as I pay for Dropbox Plus. I only use Windows for some games, and the rest of the time is solely Linux and Android. (At least it works in Android)

The lack of support has led me to start to look for alternatives to dropbox.

I have two dropbox accounts. When we can expect any vault results? Dont be ignorant like microsoft.

I already have a well-integrated (through 3rd party software) Google Drive account, which is cheaper and more appropriately sized for my uses. I also have a 1 TB OneDrive account through my employer (which also kind of works on Linux). Nevertheless, I moved to a paid Dropbox account precisely because I wanted to support the one major company with an official Linux client and was looking forward to this feature. It's disappointing it's unavailable, and I hope you reconsider.

I would absolutely like this feature. I have a paid Dropbox account that I only use on linux.

Paid user with both personal and gov accounts, and will likely have to abandon Dropbox.  We've already move to other encrypted solutions for much of what we need.
