Getting a "File missing extension" error and I can't view my photos and videos

Why aren't some of my pictures and videos available to watch? It says file missing extension.

So, just from what the error says, I understand that your files are missing their extension. A file extension is a string of characters at the end of a file name, for example, .png, .jpg or .mp4.
If the extension is missing, the Dropbox app/website or the program on your computer that plays these files, cannot open and play/preview them.
Can you rename the files in question to add the extension at the end and see if it helps?
Just add ".jpg" or ".png" at the end of the image files and ".mp4" or ".mov" at the end of the video files.
