Can't edit a spreadsheet
Yesterday I was able to edit shared spreadsheets and when I log in today I no longer have access to edit any spreadsheets. I always am on a laptop to make changes. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi Trish3216, thanks for posting today!
Just for clarification, are you editing the Excel files on the Dropbox site directly, or by using the local version of the Excel app?
Is this occurring for all files on your account?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
On the dropbox site directly. It has always been like this for the word documents but only changed today for the spreadsheets.
Thanks

Is the issue similar to what was being described in this thread?

I don't think so as we aren't using Excel online. It was being edited directly through the dropbox app

I'm a little puzzled, when you say the Dropbox app, what do you mean exactly, if it isn't via the Dropbox site, since that's how you edit Excel files online?

I wish I could go back to yesterday and be able to take a screenshot. We have never downloaded or opened the spreadsheets we have just opened them in dropbox website and been able to change the spreadsheets. We are now thinking that there is something wrong with drop box and are looking into going back to google sheets.
