Deleting files to free up space should be reflected immediately
Deleting files to free up space should be reflected immediately on your Dropbox account. Why do I have to wait 12 hours to see the changes applied? If I reach the limit of my storage, that's what happens.
I can't upload files because the system still thinks I'm full, when I'm not.

Dropbox does update instantly unless you are on a Team account.
Its also worth remembering that www.dropbox.com/backups also uses space.
