Plugging in my phone to my computer uploads duplicate Camera Uploads files

Hello all, sorry if it exist already (did not find the response to this):

I use my iPhone SE (2) app to automatically do the camera upload, which works fine to get the media on the dropbox. But, sometimes I plug in my phone (MacOS catalina, maybe also with Windows 10) to charge and dropbox copies all media again as dublicates. The photos were not edited in any way. Anything I can do to prevent this?

Camera uploads shouldn't be making duplicates unless the files are changed. Turn the feature off and back on. If keeps happening, see this guide: https://help.dropbox.com/create-upload/camera-uploads-fix

    Thank you, ClaudeDenis.

As far I understand the Camera upload is the feature within the app within the phone, - this works fine. However when plugged in by cable that's when the dublicates are created. I have now turned it off and on again on the computer, but I think I have already tried this in the past and it has not changed the problem...

I've found the same, but, worked it out that it was often a hidden photo/file on my device for ones I'd edited or amended in some way. For example doing crops/slight colour corrections etc. I suspect the device keeps the original even if you dont see it.

The other bit I seemed to discover was it was uploading different formats compared to phone - again, usually linked to the above.
