Storage Space Warnings out of the blue.

My personal account and my admin's business account both just received storage space warnings.  Neither account has been active for a couplie years but I don't want to loose what is there.  There were no files added or changed to elicit these warnings so, did Drobox reduce our box sizes?

If they havent been active have you logged in recently FYankey ? Dropbox deletes accounts which have had no activity in 12 months.

This reply was not related to my question.  I wrote neither of us had changed any files, nothing about accessing them.   Also my original question was regarding a space usage warning and had nothing to do with deleting files.

Perhaps, but you did mention that neither account has been active for a couple of years and that you don't want to lose what is there, so Mark was letting you know, correctly, that if an account remains idle for more than a year it will be deleted due to inactivity. Mark's information is sensible in this case.

That depends on the space available in your account and whether any of it was promotional or bonus related with an expiration on it.

Dropbox doesn't typically reduce the storage size of an account (in fact I've only ever known them to increase it), but some methods of adding space to one's account can be time-limited. If some of the space on your account has reached its expiration, it would be removed by the system.

Have you actually looked at your account to see if your storage has been reduced? If it hasn't, and you haven't exceeded your existing quota, and you don't have any plans to store more data at the moment, you can simply ignore the message.
