Continuous Windows 10 Defender pop-ups for "Dropbox Update is requesting…"

I would appreciate if anyone could assist me in stopping the multiple Windows 10 Defender pop-ups I am receiving. At present there are 10 of them in my taskbar blinking at me. If I get rid of them they all eventually reappear.

    Hi ChrisM7, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

     

    Have you tried whitelisting Dropbox in your Windows Defender or temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference?
