Is it safe to sync default Documents folder between two devices and use certain softwares Adobe
I use a lot of softwares that auto-save and create files/folders in the default Documents folder on Win 11, such as Adobe Cloud, and Ableton Live. I had my Documents folder and Desktop synced between two devices and anytime I had both devices on at the same time all my desktop icons would flicker and flash various symbols endlessly. I never encountered a problem with any storage, or corruption, but it was worrying and annoying. Adobe and Ableton recommend turning off the sync function when using the programs, but I am curious if there are any drawbacks or issues with having your Documents folder synced between two devices? I reached out to Adobe and they stated that Adobe CC does in fact save presets to the Documents folder, but i'm not sure if that means the Adobe cloud is involved in that process.
In summary:
Are any drawbacks or issues with having your Documents folder synced between two devices and using software like Adobe, Ableton etc ?

Hi there electroDrive333, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!
When you say sync your Documents folder, do you mean that you manually moved them in your Dropbox folder on your computer to sync them or did you use the Dropbox Backup feature instead?

Sorry for jumping in here, electroDrive333!
Just to clarify, 'selective sync' is a feature of the Dropbox application that allows you to remove folders from your Dropbox folder, to free up hard drive space, but still have them available in your account online.
Dropbox backup allows you to back up your desktop folders to Dropbox automatically.
Did you perhaps manually move the Documents folder to your Dropbox folder to accomplish this?
