Which plan is better suited for us to support some features?

Hi there!

We want to store regular files, pictures, as well as medical files that require protection (HIPAA). A storage size of 1-2 TB will be enough.

A regular link will be enough for us to display regular files and images. But for protected files, it is necessary that the link is always generated new and valid for a certain amount of time, as long as we specify, for example.

The number of users is 1. I don't see the point in more. The data will be uploaded to the storage through it.

Which plan would be optimal for my request?

Thanks!

Hi alekso89, let's jump right into this!

Based on everything you've provided, here's the info I have in mind.

When it comes to the storage space that you need, and the shared link permissions -such as an expiration date, or preventing downloads for your shared links- I'm thinking of the Dropbox Professional plan.

It's an individual plan, that would suit your needs.

However, since you also mentioned that you need to enable HIPAA compliance, in this case we're heading to a Business team. Keep in mind that'd require a minimum of 3 licenses.

You can still use it as an individual, but you'd need to pay for 3 licenses minimum.

You can always compare plans, and features on this page. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help!

    Thanks a bunch!

For your needs—secure storage of both general and HIPAA-sensitive files, link expiration control, and single-user access—a Dropbox Business Advanced or a HIPAA-compliant provider like Dropbox for Business (with BAA agreement) would be best. It offers 3+ TB storage, advanced sharing controls, and file access management features.
