Unable to delete an account created with the wrong email address

My account was created with an incorrect email address. I want to delete my account and create a new one with my correct email address. However, Dropbox cannot send me the link to create a password for account deletion because the email address is not mine. I’ve contacted support by submitting a help ticket but I haven’t received any response yet.

Hi there, cadegentry, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community.

I located your support ticket and I can see it's with the relevant team, who will be replying back to you as soon as possible.

I'm not sure if there's something that can be done considering the circumstances, however, keep in mind that a Dropbox account gets deleted by the system after a certain time of inactivity.

So, even if you're not able to delete the account manually, it will eventually get deleted automatically and you can already go ahead and create a new account under the correct address.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any questions!
