First, the emails it sends should have the ticket# in the email Subject.
Second, the email should have a SYNOPSIS of the issue. Maybe the first line from the Issue Details??? Or, better, from a separate issue Synopsis or TITLE. AND add this to the email SUBJECT as well.
I mean, seriously, when you have multiple issues open, it is VERY difficult to keep track of them. You have to actually click the link inside the email to see the issue on the web page to know.
