I recently had to rename the home folders on all three of my macs and Dropbox has stopped working. Help please?

first off, we should move the Dropbox by using the Client. Doing the move ourselves creates problems. It seems to be a permission issue. Try downloading Client installer again from www.dropbox.com/install and reinstall. After installer launches it will ask for your Dropbox account credentials. Pay attention thereafter since it will ask for your computer administrator username and password. Also make sure the location that you put the Dropbox folder is inputed correctly. If you still have issues, please follow this article here: https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads/stuck-syncing especially in the Advanced Users section.

if this works and it was a solution, please click on Accept as Solution. Also clicking on Likes would be super. Thanks!
Please unlink your computers from https://www.dropbox.com/account#security then just restart Dropbox app and it will ask you to link your computer to an Dropbox account. Just input the info and it should find the original Dropbox folder.
One could just go to Preferences and change location but I believe the extra step listed above would more fail safe to do

Reply to Chris: Yes, I did try reinstalling Dropbox. It did not work. When in copied the first line of commands in the terminal window (using your "advanced" idea), I got a message that said, "No such file or directory."
where is your Dropbox folder located?
Can you try renaming your Dropbox folder to something different and move it elsewhere? and try restarting Dropbox client? the hidden (Settings) are inside your Dropbox folder.

reply to Chris: My Dropbox folder is here: users/myaccount/dropbox . Remember, the reason I am having trouble is that I renamed the home folder, so the name in "myaccount" is what I changed.
Thanks for trying to help me. This is very frustrating.
Since submitting a ticket will take some days, I would recommend sending one. We might be able to fix it before a member of the Dropbox team gets to it but who knows. Submit a ticket https://www.dropbox.com/support
follow up with ticket via zendesk https://dropbox.zendesk.com
try renaming your Dropbox folder and restart DB.

I already did. I sent a ticket today. Forgot to mention that this problem is happening on all three of my macs. I renamed the home folder on all of them so all of them are having this problem; just to clarify. I hope they get back to me soon; I love Dropbox and I use it alot.
